New York Knicks fans have waited 25 years for this moment. Only time will tell if the countdown is set at 48 minutes.

The Knicks will have the first of three chances to clinch a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday night at TD Garden against the Boston Celtics. New York carries a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven set after Monday's Game 4 triumph by a 121-113 final.

It was a costly night for Boston in more ways than one: not only did the Celtics lose the game but they also lost Jayson Tatum to a lower-body injury that will keep him out for at least the rest of this postseason. The Knicks were paced by a 39-point, 12-assists double-double for Jalen Brunson.

6:21—Following a rejection of McBride, Kornet slams home a reverse alley-oop from Brown. It's his seventh block of the night (110-85 BOS)

7:19—Brunson has fouled out for contact with Brown. The Knicks challenge to no avail. McBride steps in. 

7:36—Back-to-back layups for Pritchard and Holiday lead to a Knick timeout and the Celtics' largest lead (106-83 BOS)

8:25—Brunson hits two from the line after a White foul. Knicks in the bonus rest of regulation. (102-83 BOS)

8:50—Towns and Brunson each have successful free throw trips but Pritchard kills momentum with another three (102-81 BOS)

9:42—Brunson's drive is interrupted by Holiday, but there's a foul. Boston challenges. It's unsuccessful and the Knicks keep the ball

2:45—Brunson is charged with his fifth. He sits for Bridges. White hits two (89-76 BOS)

3:12—The Celtics hack Robinson. He hits both and is 6-of-6 (87-76 BOS)

3:17—Brunson is charged with his fourth foul, which puts Brown to the line for a successful single. McBride and Robinson come in for Bridges and Towns. Brunson stays in. (87-74 BOS)

5:11—Another Hauser three puts Boston back up 14. Timeout Knicks. (84-70 BOS)
