Trish Stratus was in the Nation's Capital Friday night and her special appearance on SmackDown put in motion the WWE Hall of Famer's next match.

The seven-time WWE Women's Champion was interviewed by Wade Barrett early in the night and confirmed that she planned to be in Toronto for the Elimination Chamber coming up on March 1.

Stratus made it sound as though she would be at the Rogers Centre for the final Premium Live Event ahead of WrestleMania 41, as a spectator only. She told Wade that she just had to decide if she'll be watching from the seats or a suite.

It wasn't until later in the night when Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax were fighting for the WWE Women's Championship that the company's plans for Trish in her hometown took shape.

After Candice LeRae interjected herself into the championship match and forced a disqualification, the Poison Pixie and Jax began a two-on-one assault on Stratton. That was until Trish hopped out of the crowd to make the save. Ultimately, the WWE Hall of Famer ended up sandwiched between Nia and turn buckle.

Byron Saxton would catch up with Trish and Tiffany after the brawl and that's when Stratus offered up her idea for a tag team match at Elimination Chamber. It sounds as though it will be Stratus and Stratton teaming up to take on Nia Jax and Candice LeRae in Toronto.

The stars for Stratus' return to the ring have lined up perfectly. Not only is the next PLE in her hometown, but next month will mark 25 years since her debut on WWE television. Stratus entered the Women's Royal Rumble in Indianapolis earlier this month from the No. 25 position to kick-off her anniversary celebration.
